Milan Malpensa Airport
Milan Malpensa Airport is the closest airport to Stresa. You are then able drive to the venue, approximately 45 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a train into Stresa (1 hour and 30 minutes with one train switch). Some guests will be flying into Venice, Zurich, Paris and training to Stresa. Email or call Brian or Liz to coordinate.
Train
Trenitalia
We recommend making your way into Milan and spend a day or two in the city before the wedding! Then you are able to take the train directly to Stresa (travel time, 1.5 hours) to spend a few days with us. Unfortunately, using the train requires a transfer. First, from Malpensa, you would take the Trenord subway train to the stop, Gallarate. Then you would board the Trenitalia and be dropped off directly into the center of Stresa. From there, you could get a taxi or walk to your accomodation! There are multiple options available at the Milan Malpensa Airport. We personally used Avis. It is a very straight forward process to book online and pick up the car within the airport. The return is also very easy, as the drop off is still at the airport, no shuttle needed!

Hotel la Palma
This is a beautiful hotel with wonderful views of Lake Maggiore itself. We will be hosting a welcome reception at their fantastic SkyBar. This is approximately a 15-minute walk from Villa Frua, where most of the wedding events will happen.

Hotel Flora
Immersed in the enchanting scenery of Stresa, a stone's throw from the picturesque lakeside and the suggestive Borromean Islands, Hotel Flora welcomes guests in a casual yet refined atmosphere. This is approximately a 7 minute walk from Villa Frua (where the ceremony will be held).
