In a time when toilet paper was gold and face masks became the new fashion statement, Liz and Brian's love story began. They met in the most 2020 way possible: on Hinge. Brian swiped right on Liz's profile, captivated by her declaration of taking her coffee "black like her soul." Two months passed before they met in person, filled with endless texting and late-night phone calls. Before they met, Liz sent Brian a care package of inside jokes and pandemic essentials like dried mango, wine, and toilet paper. Brian, not to be outdone, responded with a package of his own, featuring homemade gnocchi. Brian finally made a plan to meet Liz in Kalorama Park. They decided to have a picnic with delicious Thai food. Liz being the very particular person she was, gently reminded Brian that he should bring the "(cold)" rosé. The picnic was a success, and from that day on, they were inseparable. After that, the rest was history. They spent every day together except the days that Liz spent on overnight call at the hospital. They grew together, moved in together, and moved to New Mexico together. Brian supported Liz through the ups and downs of residency and fellowship. He always makes sure to make her coffee in the morning (even if that means getting up at 5:30 am). On her hardest days, he reminds her that she is a strong, smart woman. Liz has helped Brian grow, mature, and become more focused. With Liz by his side, Brian feels ready for any adventure and any social outing. And, let's be honest, Brian might love Liz's cats almost as much as he loves her. Together, they cherish their adventures, good food, and traveling. So, it’s no surprise that they chose to celebrate their love with a wedding in Italy.
