Maid of Honor
My so-called "SJSU babe" Vina Le and I have been friends for three years since we started our first semester at SJSU. We went through the ups and downs of college life, all good and bad grades, dramatic stories; and have seen each other at our best and worst. No matter how busy we are after college, Vina and I have always tried to make time for each other, and so our friendship has never wavered. This girl has witnessed my relationship with my future husband from day one. She's the only one whom I ran to for advice as well as expressing my emotions around. And that I know she will always have my back, I can't imagine how I can say "i do" without her by my side.
Best Man
Ernest and Mike met back in 2012 when they were both stationed at Edwards AFB, CA. They both lived in the dorms with about 200 other young Airman while living next door to each other. They have then become great friends on the account of their common interest in playing video games, working out, and going to LA on the weekends to hang. Ernest is now still in his service and lives in Colorado.
Bridesmaid
Her creativity, her love for animals, her freestyle lifestyle, and her independence have truly amazed me from the first time I met her. Lisa Hodge (my sister-in-law soon to be) and I have had great times travelling together with the family - from our amazing escape to Malaysia to the getaway weekend trip to North Carolina - all was awesomely fabulous. Lisa is now living in NYC but spends most of her time in Europe due to her travelling life as a flight attendant. Soon Lisa will be my sister (So thrilled! I always wish I could have a sister) but until then I genuinely want her to stand beside me on my special day.
Groomsman
As I will have my future sister-in-law Lisa stand by my side, Mike will have his future brother-in-law Minh (aka my bro) stand up on his side. It truly means the world to Mike and I to have our siblings stand alongside us on our special day.
Bridesmaid
Erin Kunes and I have known each other for three years while working together at the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley. As she did her best to make our demanding guests happy and ensure the Spa team works productively, I did everything in my power (with my crae Engineering team) to help the hotel run well . Chance made us colleagues and our passion for music made us friends. Erin loves Disney as much as I do, and that completely deepened our bond. She's a member of "Singing For America Foundation," which helps people raise charitable funds through singing. I bet if we all give her a shout-out, she may sing us a song at wedding.
Groomsman
Richard (Richie) and Mike have known each other for their lives since they were 4 or 5. The boys (back in Vacaville 1995) used to play with each other in the pool all days, some video games, and who knows what else!!! Over the years, they still keep in touch as though Richie is living in Virginia serving in the U.S Navy through his "last night ashore" and "drink to the foam." (Yes, anchors aweigh mah boys!) Most importantly, Richie will fly across the nation and will be there for Mike - standing by his best friend on the wedding day - as he always did in the olden days.
Bridesmaid
Straightforward, Friendly, Honest, and Hardworking is all about this lady. Shannon and I met each other at my first job two months after I moved to the States. We both had the same educational goals and same motto of "I-Can-Do-It," and that made us friends. We lost touch a few years after we both left Fry's, yet thanks to Facebook for reconnecting us again. We love hiking and doing afternoon tea/snacks whenever we have time. Shannon is super organized and detailed as much as I am. Now that we both achieved our education goals, I cannot wait to see what future holds us in our next "adulting" chapter in life. But for now, I am so delighted and honored to have her stand by me this wedding daze.
Groomsman
Noori left Air Force active duty and later transferred to the Air National Guard at Moffett where he met Mike back in 2016. They used to work together before he eventually moved to Texas to pursue a different career. Mike says Rashad made the work place fun, and has always enjoyed his crude sense of humor and honestly.
