It was the late spring of 2017 and their love at first "swipe" on Bumble.com had turned into a life changing forever. Holly used to look down on online dating because neither was it authentic nor organic. She would have graduated in a couple of weeks and was very busy, yet her college bestie convinced her to go online and date a guy [just for fun] since she'd be free after graduation. As though she didn't want to waste her time getting to know someone on a superficial level, Holly still tried it out just for ONE day. The following day after she had started this app, Holly logged on to see her daily matches - and "boom!" - a good looking airman, who was the same age as her, had matched her written profile [Yup! It's Mike]. They started their conversation with the Air Force stories, school, work, travel, and the love for music and cooking. Having chatted with each other for a week, Mike asked Holly out for a date. Nothing much for the first date: they went out for lunch at a Thai restaurant, got some bobas at the mall, competed with each other at the golf course and had a huge chicken dinner at a Korean restaurant. Those 10 hours worked their magic! Three weeks after the first date, Mike asked Holly to be his girlfriend. (Guess the low key didn't work with this couple)
It was a mix of sunny and rainy day when their cruise ship called on the port of Juneau, AK. As they got to the Nugget Falls after a 30-minute hike at Mendenhall Glacier Bay, nearby the giant falls - right time, right place, Mike was down on his knee telling Holly that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, and popped that question. With that one "YES" she said, here they are - getting hitched! Thank you all for being apart of our lives. We're so excited to celebrate our special day with you [and shake it on the dance floor]. Whoohoo! Holly & Mike
