Here are some photos of how Blake pulled off the perfect proposal.
For some context, Blake and Lauren took a weekend trip to see the Annual Solar Eclipse in October of 2023. This was not their first time chasing an eclipse and they decided on Corpus Christi since it would receive the most amount of time in totality. The morning of the eclipse, Blake let Lauren decide where she wanted to witness the phenomenon, and a rooftop boat party caught her attention. They proceeded to watch the eclipse from the flight deck of the U.S.S. Lexington (a WWII Navy Aircraft carrier). Blake had a photographer following them all morning as they explored and got down on one knee right as totality struck.
Completely surprised!
The future is looking bright! We had to make sure we still saw the eclipse in totality - we were there for a reason after all!
Annular Solar Eclipse

An annular solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly between the Earth and Sun, but does not completely cover the Sun's spread. Instead, it covers most of the Sun, leaving its outer edge visible as a bright ring is formed around the darkened Moon.
The Sun got a ring as so did Lauren!
