Lauren first met Blake at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. It was a stormy, Tuesday night but, the rain didn’t stop Lauren and her friends from heading to Bingo Night at The Garage. Coincidentally, Blake was celebrating his 23rd birthday and was introduced to Lauren through a mutual friend. Blake’s ocean-blue eyes and goofy demeanor caught Lauren’s attention, and she still remembers what he was wearing that night. Little did Blake know, his last birthday gift would turn out to be the best one— Lauren offered to buy him a drink to celebrate together. As the night went on and the festivities wrapped up, Blake remained unaware of the crush Lauren had developed. A few nights later, their paths crossed again at Murphy's on Washington Street. But, Blake was offered a different gift this time — a safe ride home. After dropping him off, Lauren immediately asked her friend for "the cute guy's" number and received a reply that night.
