Samantha Decker & Luke Hueman

Wedding Party

Dylan Hatch

Best Man

I first met Luke when he was a Freshman in high school. I did not like him or really anyone in his grade, as I thought they were cocky and annoying. I quickly found out that we had a lot in common and we spent pretty much every day together in between two-a-day football practices. As time has gone on, we've remained great friends and make a point to get together doing the things we like, whether it's a 7-day elk hunt or going bowling with the boys. There's no doubt in my mind that we'll remain lifelong friends!

Julia Brysky

Matron of Honor

Sam and I met during the Summer of 2014 and we instantly clicked. Soon we became college roommates and best friends. I honestly think that every single memory I have with Sam, we are laughing. Some of the most memorable moments I have from college, Sam have been at my side. Her easy-going and free-spirited nature makes it so easy to be her friend. I am so blessed to have her in my life and grateful that I get to stand by her side for one of the most important days of her life.

Clay Decker

Groomsman

When I first met Luke I thought he was a cool guy, but I didn’t really see him all that much as they both lived a few hours away. It wasn’t until fall of 2018 that I realized Luke was the real deal. He randomly called me one week and said "Hey! Want to join me on a elk hunting trip next week? I’ll have everything you need." At first I was skeptical, did I really want to spend 7 days in the mountains with a guy I didn’t really know? Sure, why not. The trip was one of the best trips of my life and I also got to know Luke really well. That's when I knew Luke wasn't only a super cool guy, but he also has a tremendous amount of patience - something he'll need with Sammie! Kidding... I couldn’t be happier for Sammie and Luke and look forward to the adventures to come.

Bridesmaid

I'm Luke's sister! I heard a lot about Sam before I met her, my brother was smitten, to say the least. We met on a Minnesota summer night while grilling on the patio. She fit in with our family immediately! We're so excited and blessed to have her joining our family!

Aaron Niles

Groomsman

Luke and I met at a young age, sometime in elementary school (we didn't go to the same school). Our friendship started at the Blooming Prairie pool, where we spent countless hours swimming and (working our sweet moves) jumping off the diving boards. The memories and adventures we've made together are unforgettable and way too long to list!

Katie Jasperson

Bridesmaid

I met Sam shortly after she and Luke started dating. The night Luke finally brought her around we walked down to Johnny Holms and danced and sang. After that night, I knew she was definitely someone I could get along with. However, I didn't know is how close we would become. I still had barely known her but she had agreed to go to Lake City with my family and I. We went boating, we swam, we drank but the highlight was when she got on a boat and started singing karaoke with my brother-in-law. They were quite amazing! Another one of our adventures was when we were hiking in CO. Somehow we ended up on a skiing hill, but we didn't know it was a ski hill until skiers came down and asked if we were lost. So embarrassing! No matter what, we always have a good time and I am lucky to have met her.

Luke has always been the brother I never had. Growing up, I was always excited to see Luke at family events. Now, living in the same city, I was able to get to know him more than ever and he's become such a good friend. I am very honored to in Luke's wedding and super excited for his future!

Mattea Moore

Bridesmaid

I remember my 16th year as the year I was blessed with a baby sister, FINALLY! From the moment I held Sammie, I was completely in love. I remember sitting in the backseat driving home with her from the hospital. Fast forward two years, I would drive her to daycare while she screamed her head off because she didn’t want to go. Sometimes I screamed back - LOL! However, I did promise to protect her, so being the big sister, I left my college class to drive back to daycare and check on her. When I had Sabel, Sammie stepped up to be the auntie that I had always hoped for. Sammie looked at Sabel the same way I looked at her, full of love. Sammie is truly a blessing, and I am so excited to be a part of the uniting of two amazingly selfless souls. Sammie and Luke, I am proud to be your big sister!

Groomsman

Luke and I grew up in high school and played football together. We really got to know each other once we started going on snowboarding trips out west. We have been to many different ski resorts over the years. Telluride and Vail are probably are favorite ski resorts to go to. Another one of are hobbies was playing endless nights of ping pong and bowling. Some how he always beat me in ping pong. Must have been the long arms he has!

Sabel Regan

Bridesmaid

My Aunt Sammie has always been a mentor to me. I can remember looking up to her to show me how to my hair and make-up. I was always so excited when she outgrew her clothes - she hooked a girl up! A memory with my aunt that I have is when we would go for four-wheeler rides! We would walk to the barn, and I would always be scared because of the angry rooster. She doesn't know it, but she taught me to be brave. Then, she moved to CO with Luke and made another brave choice to explore all life has to offer without fear, but instead a sense of excitement and adventure. Sammie, you are the best mentor a girl could ask for!
