Short's Brewing Company Bellaire Pub
No trip up north is complete without a stop at Short’s Brewery in downtown Bellaire! Be sure to grab some pizza or a sandwich and don’t forget a growler of Northern Michigan’s finest craft brew. The bride and groom recommend Soft Parade, Locals Light, and Bellaire Brown, but no matter what you choose you can’t go wrong.
Shanty Creek Resort - Summit Village
Treat yourself to a round of golf on one of their five courses or a massage at their spa. This location also houses our room block for guests of the wedding.
Dockside Torch Lake
Enjoy the fall colors on beautiful Torch Lake while enjoying a cold beverage and a warm burger. This was one of the bride’s favorite local haunts growing up in the region.
King Orchards
It's the perfect time of year to visit King Orchards for fresh apple cider, donuts, and pumpkins. Be sure to grab some cherry jam while you're there, you're in the cherry capital of the world and King Orchards is one of the biggest suppliers!
Barnes Park Campground
If you’re itching to see some beautiful fall colors on Lake Michigan, stop by Barnes Park campground and make your way to the sandy beach.
A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort
Just a hop, skip and a jump away from our wedding venue is a beautiful course overlooking Torch Lake. You’d be hard pressed to find a better view from the first tee than here.
Sleeping Bear Dunes
If you’re up for a little drive, make your way to the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park just outside of Traverse City. There’s nothing more beautiful than the fall colors burning bright against the bright blue waters of Lake Michigan.
Front Street, Traverse City
Visit the ever-popular Front Street in downtown Traverse City to snag some souvenirs and a pint of beer at one of the famous craft breweries. Our favorite places include Nolan's Cigar Bar, M-22, and North Peak Brewery.
The Village at Grand Traverse Commons
Formerly known as the Traverse City State Hospital, this historic site is a unique mix of old and new. Featuring a variety of retail and restaurant spaces mixed with preserved facilities from its time as a state-funded institution, this is a must-visit spot when in the area.
Ruthie's Chicken And Dairy Twist
Visit the old stomping grounds of the bride and order a Snickers and banana flurry from Ruthie's in downtown Bellaire! Melissa worked here for many summers scooping ice cream while in school!
