Sangeet is an event which brings both families together in a relaxed party mode. To celebrate the union of the bride and groom with music, dance, and joy and to kick off the wedding festivities with a lively atmosphere.

Mehendi

5:30 pm - 7:45 pm

Attire: Bright colours are always fun!

The Mehendi event is another joyful pre-wedding ceremony in Indian and South Asian weddings. It revolves around the application of henna (mehendi) to the bride’s hands and feet in intricate designs and often includes festivities like music, dancing, and feasting.

Haldi & Pellikuturu

8:00 am - 2:30 pm

Attire: Bright colours

Haldi: Means turmeric, and the event involves applying a paste of turmeric, sandalwood, rosewater, and sometimes oil to the bride and groom’s face, neck, hands, and feet. Pellikuturu: literally means "Bride-to-be" in Telugu. The bride changes into a new saree and is adorned with flowers and jewelry. Elders bless her for a happy married life.
