Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please dress in formal (black tie optional) attire. Women: Mid to floor-length gown, or dressy pantsuit. The ceremony will be on a lawn so wear comfortable shoes! Reception is indoors and the cocktail hour will be on gravel. Men: A dark suit (navy, black, or gray) with a dress shirt, tie, and dress shoes is appropriate. Tuxedo is optional!

How do I get to the ceremony and what time?

Answer

Shuttle: If you are taking the shuttle, please meet at the ALOFT Hotel in Ballantyne by 3:30 PM. The bus will leave promptly at 3:45 PM, and no additional shuttles will be running after that time. At the end of the evening, guests will be dropped off at the AC Hotel, which is directly across from BlackFinn Pub where the after-party will take place. Driving/Parking: If you are driving, you must arrive before 4:50 PM. Security will be closing the road to all traffic at that time, and no vehicles — including guests — will be allowed through. The road will not reopen until after the ceremony concludes, so anyone arriving late will be required to wait until then to park and join the celebration. Rideshare: If you plan to use Uber or Lyft, please schedule your ride ahead of time. Rideshare availability is limited in the area, and the drive can take up to 45 minutes with traffic, so advanced planning is strongly recommended.

Are we allowed to bring our kids?

Although we adore your children, our wedding weekend is for adults only! Thanks for understanding.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes - there is parking. If you choose to leave your car overnight we ask you to pick it up before 10am the next day.

Is there a shuttle to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes - the shuttle will depart promptly at 3:45pm from the Aloft hotel in Ballantyne. No other shuttles will be departing after 3:45 The shuttle will leave the venue and drop off guests at the AC hotel. The AC hotel is right across the street from where the after party will be held at Blackfinn Pub.

If given a plus one you will see it on your formal invitation when we send those out. You will also see it on the RSVP link when you let us know if you can make it! Thanks for understanding.

Answer

Yes! We have linked room blocks for hotels in the Ballantyne area on our transportation tab. If you would rather use an Airbnb, you can search in the Ballantyne, Weddington, or Waxhaw areas!
