Sarah Furbush
Matron of Honor
Sarah walked into Kelsey's life while the two were in college and in the prime of their pageant days. Even though Sarah didn't buy the dress Kelsey was trying to sell her, Kelsey got over it and decided the two needed to be best friends. Through 7 years and 4 jobs together the two couldn't stay apart. (Although at one point Sarah and her husband Seth moved 40 minutes away and Kelsey was devastated until they moved back 5 minutes down the road). The two can often be found downstate with Sarah's family or at Target way past their bedtime. In case you didn't know, Kelsey was actually Sarah's Maid of Honor! (P.S. Patrick McCormick
Best Man
Pat McCormick, Patty Mac, the Irish Panda; a man of many titles and prodigious volume, no one ever has to wonder if Pat’s in a room (because you could hear him from down the hall). Patrick and Rob’s friendship dates back to their early days in pinstripes on Long Island’s almost-elite travel baseball team, the Three Village Yankees, continued through their years in UD ROTC (Fear the Bird), and has carried through to present day (#LFGK). All told, Patrick has been a constant force for good in Rob’s life, which Rob acknowledged when he asked Patrick to be Autumn’s godfather. If you need your spirits raised or want to hear an insane story that’s probably 75% true, seek ye out the Irish Panda!
Jory Smith
Bridesmaid
Jory and Kelsey are those kinds of friends that just look at each other and know what the other is thinking. Despite have a 4 year age difference the two couldn't be more on the same page. Bonding over Jorys love of Kelsey's cats (really just Bambino) and bagel Sundays the two enjoy doing the mundane together. If they aren't watching a movie on the couch you can find the two at Disney World, NYC or Costco. Recently, the pair left their troubles behind and took off on a road trip around New England. Something you may not know about the two is that their bond is so strong due to the Hufflepuff/Slytherin dynamic.
Jeannie Hill
Groomswoman
The biggest lie Rob was ever told was that, one day, he’d be taller than Jeannie and everything would change. At 30 years old and standing a paltry 5’10, Rob is still waiting for this day! From getting her ass kicked in Super Smash Bros to subsequently delivering an ass kicking in every card game known to man, Jeannie did her part to let Rob know that there are no easy wins in life. Rob has learned to accept that Jeannie is always (mostly) right, which is why he asked her to meet Kelsey to make sure he wasn’t crazy. Not only did Kelsey get the older sister stamp of approval that night, she and Jeannie have been close friends ever since!
Abby Dean
Bridesmaid
Kelsey and Abby met in 2020 while working together at the Hyatt (yes the one listed on here!). While they like to affectionally joke about the trauma bonding, neither of them saw this friendship coming. Bonding over a love of cats and Twilight they have been thick as thieves ever since. The two can typically be found doing at home workouts together, eating pizza at the Chesapeake inn or sipping their second bottle of wine on the couch. Fun fact, Kelsey was a member of Abby's wedding party this past October!
Chris Longo
Groomsman
The story of how Rob met Chris is a typical one; both sat on the same couch at a Christmas party and after Rob complained that he was sore from baseball, Chris casually let it slip that he played college ball. Numbers were exchanged, plans for a tryout were made, and 2 swings into a 30 minute cage rental later Chris was signed up to be a Knight. Chris is a genuinely great guy and one of the only level heads on a team populated by crazy people (Rob included), which is why he’s been helping to run the show since last year. Outside of baseball, Chris has been one of Rob’s best friends and has been instrumental in ringing in some very important milestones in Rob and Kelsey’s relationship!
Lindsay Straitman
Bridesmaid
A new found friend, Kelsey and Lindsay met through Rob (although let's not give him too much credit). Through weekly game nights and Kids Great British Bakeoff the two quickly found common ground. Kelsey knew she had found a true friend when she was gifted a "beverage tower" because Lindsay knew how much she enjoyed entertaining. Sharing a love of Harry Potter and adult coffee drinks the two always have something to talk about. A little tidbit of fun, Lindsay's husband Ben is the officiant!
Casey Riffel
Groomsman
Casey is another long-time Knight who, after watching Rob chuck his 5th helmet of the year into the Dyer Road creek, somehow continues to put up with his shit. A mainstay of winter live at bats, Casey has made a career out of ruining Rob’s day by NOT. SWINGING. AT. THE. DAMN. SPLITTER. The man has truly seen and lived it all and has been an invaluable source of wisdom for Rob and Kelsey. Another active participant of our go-to party group, Casey and his wife Nora have truly been a blessing (though Nora constantly wants to steal Karma). As an added bonus, Casey is a realtor and sold Kelsey’s house so you can thank him for how nice everything looks at the wedding!
Ben Straitman
Officiant/Groomsman
Ben is Rob’s gateway into all things nerdy and has always been quick to suggest a new show or game that will absolutely dominate Rob’s life for the following 3 months (see Dimension 20, Baldurs Gate 3, etc). Ben was also the first of Rob’s friends to find out about Kelsey, and he and his wife Lindsay immediately agreed to double date. On this double date, Rob noticed that Kelsey was getting along with Ben and Lindsay, so he set up another double date. And another one. And another one. It soon became very apparent that Kelsey LOVED these people, and they loved her back! From crushing pins at Main Event to planning proposal parties, Ben has been there for every step of Kelsey and Rob’s journey, so it was only fitting that we asked him to be our officiant.
Nick Fiorentino
Groomsman
Who says you can’t make friends playing sports? Rob and Nick have been building beachfront property in the heads of their volleyball opponents for years now, and, as long as the playlist is right, the game is all but over. Nick was also instrumental in getting Rob off his butt and out into the world, where he just so happened to suggest that they hit a bar called Tyler’s one night in January 2023. Nick also invited another friend that night, who invited another friend, who you guys might recognize as the bride! Rob will forever be thankful to Nick for bullying him into going out after 2 hours of sleep and then for letting a stranger buy him Rumple Minze shots. Truly the greatest wingman of our generation!
Autumn Hill
Flower Girl
In case you weren't aware (although I'm not sure how) Kelsey and Rob have the cutest flower girl making her way down the aisle. That's right Rob's daughter Autumn will be the flower girl (although she asked to be a blueberry girl that throws blueberries and we did have to manage expectations there).
