The Steamship Authority operates year-round ferry service from Wood's Hole, MA to Martha's Vineyard. it's an easy 45-minute ferry ride from Wood's Hole across to Martha's Vineyard. Ferries arrive in Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs. Guests not bringing a car on the ferry should check the Steamship's website or hotline for updates on parking in Woods Hole and Falmouth. If you're bringing a car on the ferry, make a reservation for both YOU and YOUR CAR well in advance. Vineyard Fast Ferry offers passenger service from Quonset, RI to Martha's Vineyard (Oak Bluffs). You can fly into Providence, RI and take a 30 minute uber/lyft or car service to this ferry. Hy-Line Cruises offers a seasonal passenger ferry service from Hyannis, MA to Martha's Vineyard (Oak Bluffs). The Island Queen operates a seasonal passenger service between Falmouth, MA and Martha's Vineyard (Oak Bluffs).

From the DC Area: After Labor Day there is typically no direct flight to Martha's Vineyard from DC. There are a few connecting flight options to the Vineyard. You can also fly to Boston and take the Peter Pan bus* or Uber to the Wood's Hole Ferry terminal. Another option is to fly to Providence and take a 30-minute Uber to the Vineyard Fast Ferry in Quonset, RI. From the NYC area: In September, you can typically fly direct to Martha's Vineyard on JetBlue from JFK or on Cape Air from White Plains. You can also fly to Boston and take a connecting Cape Air flight to the Vineyard or take the Peter Pan bus* to the Wood's Hole Ferry terminal. *Peter Pan offers numerous daily trips to the ferry terminal in Woods Hole, MA (coordinated to ferry departures) from Boston's Logan Airport, and South Station. It is about a 1.5-2 hour ride and best to be booked online. **The airport code for Martha’s Vineyard is MVY. There are limited flights so we recommend checking prices early and often.
