Flight

Airlines

Porter and Air Canada are the only airlines that fly between Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Westjet no longer does this route. The best time to book travel will be in the summer when summer deals begin. A flight will cost $350-500 roundtrip. You can find gift cards at Costco for Porter, Air Canada, and Westjet. A $500 gift certificate only costs $449.99 so you save $50!

Flying but don't want to rent a car?

Here are some local buses that travel between airports and Clarenville! Marsh's Taxi (Small local bus): Leaves Bonavista at 6:30am arrives in St. John's roughly between 10- 10:30am. Then leaves St. John's roughly 1:30pm arriving in Bonavista again around 5:30-6:00pm. Fare: depends on distance travelled. Cash Only. The DRL (Cross-province bus): Leaves St. John's travelling west every day at 7:30am from MUN and costs $53 to get to Clarenville. It leaves Gander travelling east at 5:02pm from the airport and costs $42 to Clarenville. PLEASE NOTE: Tickets are purchased upon boarding the bus, CASH ONLY.
