Amon Carter Museum of American Art
This is where we got engaged. You can also find a preeminent collection of American art including painting, sculpture, and works on paper; it has been a Fort Worth institution since 1961.
Fort Worth Water Gardens
A fun date night for us, the water gardens is a can't miss experience. This area is family-friendly and takes little time from your schedule. It is one of Fort Worth's most unique attractions and a fun downtown stop.
Fort Worth Zoo
One of our favorite places in Fort Worth and a top 5 zoo in the nation. You can go see the new Elephant Springs exhibit or more than 7,000 native and exotic animals.
Mule Alley
Austin's photo of Mule Alley was featured in Travel + Leisure. We love to see the new shops, hotels and restaurants in the newest development in the Stockyards. Check out Hotel Drover, Second Rodeo and Wrangler Store. This is the Texas you want!
Melt Ice Creams
One of our very first dates, Melt is the perfect way to end an evening in Fort Worth. Owner Kari Crowe is a friend. She is responsible for making incredible old favorites and unique seasonal flavors.
Coyote Drive-In (Fort Worth)
We saw the premiere of Juneteenth with the cast and crew at Coyote Drive-In. This is a great way to spend an evening and is family-friendly.
Fort Worth Botanic Garden
Austin and I love to come here and walk around when the weather is nice. A beautiful way to see Fort Worth and very close to downtown and some of the hotel blocks.
Tandy Hills Natural Area / Stratford Nature Area
This is where Austin and I took our engagement photos. A beautiful park to walk around in or let the kids run through. A great place to see the Fort Worth skyline and the Fort Worth Astronomical Society will be having a star party that weekend.
Best Maid Pickle Emporium
A quick stop for any pickle lovers.
Salsa Limon
One of our favorite places to go for lunch when we worked in Sundance Square. Also, a great place if you're staying downtown.
