Maid of Honor
Relationship to the bride: Younger sister Currently resides in: Kalamazoo, MI Memory: One of my favorite memories of Hillary is when we were little and couldn’t fall asleep we would recite the whole Parent Trap movie, taking different roles. Fun Fact: I can sing all the words to “Baby Got Back.”
Bridesmaid
Relationship to the bride: Childhood friend Currently resides in: Portland, OR Memory: After 16 years of school together, so many of my favorite memories involve Hillary: making websites to advertise our bands in elementary school, learning to sail at summer camp, eating too much popcorn and admiring her design skills in journalism, sneaking out on a high school trip to Italy, tailgating for our first football game, and walking the stage together at our college graduation. I can’t possibly pick just one!
Bridesmaid
Relationship to the bride: Future sister-in-law Currently resides in: Chicago, IL Memory: Hillary joined me on my spring break last year to Florida! It was so fun hanging out just the two of us - laying by the pool, walking to the beach, and watching movies with Nanny! Fun Fact: Even after 12 years, I still adore the Harry Potter series. I like to say I am more of an expert than Hillary, but she’s definitely just as much of a fan!
Bridesmaid
Relationship to the bride: Childhood friend Currently resides in: Mulhouse, France Memory: I went to visit Hillary in Milan while she was on study abroad and joined her for a day at her high school. I remember needing to use the bathroom and she said I was lucky we were in the gym because they actually have toilet seats there instead of just holes in the ground! I also remember that Hillary drank milk with EVERYTHING when she was younger and then after she got back from Italy she NO LONGER DRANK MILK. Blew my mind. Fun Fact: I have played professional soccer in both Argentina and France and recently represented the United States at the Futsal World Cup in Spain. Currently I am playing for a soccer team in Mulhouse, France and will be flying to the wedding straight from here!
Best Man
Relationship to the groom: Older brother Currently resides in: Grand Rapids, MI Memory: Trevor and I generally got along pretty well growing up, but we still had our fair share of disagreements. On one such occasion, we were in the bathroom arguing. Long story short, Trevor’s head somehow collided with the radiator. Lots of blood. Lots of screaming. I don’t know how it happened, but I was blamed. Trevor now has a permanent scar on his head, which serves as a constant reminder of the time I (ALLEGEDLY) busted my brother’s head open. Good times. Fun fact: I’ve seen every episode of The Office at least 20 times, and will often use quotes from the show in everyday situations. I’ll try my best to avoid doing this at Trev and Hill’s wedding, but it’s gonna be really hard. That’s what she said.
Groomsman
Relationship to the groom: Childhood friend Currently resides in: Grand Rapids, MI Memory: It was our freshman year in college and I was really nervous to sing "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys in front of 50+ sorority girls. As I tried to blend in and not let anyone hear how bad at singing I am, Trevor steps out front and center to sing his solo full of eye contact, finger points, and dance moves! He killed it every time as you may expect. Fun fact: During a freshman football game at Sparta High School, I made a stellar interception for an easy pick 6-until I was tackled at the 1 yardline, fumbled, and watched the ball roll out of the endzone for a touchback. I redeemed myself on the freshman basketball team by scoring a breakaway layup. On the wrong hoop. At Sparta High School.
Groomsman
Relationship to the groom: Childhood friend Currently resides in: Los Angeles, CA Memory: Through the charity of a family friend Trevor got an internship at Merrill Lynch during the summer in between our Junior and Senior years at UofM. As part of his internship Trevor was given $15K to invest however he so chose. Well, Trevor decided to invest all $15K in Netflix stock, which at the time was at $42 a share (the highest it had ever been). Unfortunately for Trevor, by the end of his internship the stock had lost more than half of its value – making Trevor a laughing stock (no pun intended). BUT, Trevor was (unwittingly) playing the long game, because that $15K invested in 2011 would be worth over $100K now! Bravo, Trevor. Fun Fact: I only wear bespoke suits.
Groomsman
Relationship to the groom: Childhood friend Currently resides in: Grand Rapids, MI Memory: Even though I did not attend college with Trevor, due to the fact I would never get in to Michigan, we have attended many music festivals together. To me, these experiences with Trevor were worth more than a UofM education. Go Green.
