Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Schuyler Weinberg and Hillary Thornton
Chicago is a main character of the Hillary + Schuyler love story. To know her is to love her. If you find yourself with some downtime during the wedding weekend, here are some recommendations.

Deep Dish Pizza

Look, Hillary and Schuyler honestly think Chicago-style pizza is just... fine. However, they understand it's a rite of passage. Pizzeria Uno and Gino's East are both steps from the hotel and will scratch your deep dish pizza itch. Pequod's is a bit further but is universally the preferred deep dish spot of local Chicagoans. Hill and Sky's favorite pizza place in Chicago is Fat Chris's, which is the criminally underrated Detroit style.

Lakefront Trail

Lakefront Trail, Chicago, IL

Despite her poor weather reputation, Chicago is 100% a walking town. Strolls along Lake Michigan are the very best, and you'll learn that Chicago is also low key a beach town. We also recommend the 606 Trail for a unique way to explore various neighborhoods.

BienMeSabe Venezuelan Cafe & Restaurant

1637 West Montrose Avenue, Chicago, IL 60613

This is the one place Hillary and Schuyler HAVE to go to every time they're in Chicago. Get the sampler platter for an assortment of various vessels for cheese that you never dreamed possible. When Hill & Sky say this place single-handedly got them through Covid quarantine, they MEAN it.

Mr. Beef

666 North Orleans Street, Chicago, IL 60654

This Italian beef sandwich spot is the inspiration (and primary filming location) for The Bear.

Loaf Lounge

2934 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL 60618

... and this is where you can get THE chocolate cake that is heavily featured in The Bear

Wrigley Field

1060 West Addison Street, Chicago, IL 60613

The Cubs have a 6-game homestand throughout the wedding weekend. What a treat for all of us except White Sox fans.

The Bagel Restaurant and Deli

3107 North Broadway, Chicago, IL 60657

Schuyler's go-to spot for Jewish cuisine in Chicago. Odds are good that you will run into many a Weinberg if you pop in here.

Long Room Chicago

1612 West Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL 60613

Coffee shop by day, killer cocktail joint by night, this is probably Hill & Sky's favorite bar in Chicago. Their first apartment together was a block away. If you play your cards right, you can walk through the drive thru of the Popeye's next door.

Au Cheval

800 West Randolph Street, Chicago, IL 60607

The best burger! Pro tip: if you're short on time, go to Small Cheval instead. It's more casual, but the food is the same.

For all the days along the way
