Sara was born and raised in Omaha, NE…we will blame her sister Shelby on her moving to Michigan! Her dog Macy and her made the move together, and Macy has tagged along with all of Sara’s adventures. Sara has been a respiratory therapist since 2014, working at a few hospitals in that time. And, as corny as it sounds, she knew Brian was the one the moment she saw him!
Brian Mattera
Groom
Brian was raised in St Clair Shores, Michigan…and has never lived more than a mile from his childhood home (including now, 2 doors down from it). Brian is the youngest son to Sue and Lou Mattera. Brian was an avid hockey player as a kid, and even coaches his youngest Troy’s hockey team now. He is the very proud father and Andrew & Troy, and you will notice he lights up every time he talks about them. In the summer you’ll find him in his free time out on Lake St Clair. He may be fishing with his brother in law Jeff, or on his jet-ski, usually around good old Muscamoot Bay! Brian works at Chrysler building your good dependable Jeep Grand Cherokees.
Shelby Rainey
Matron of Honor
Born and raised in Omaha, NE Shelby is Sara’s younger sister. She is credited to having Sara take the plunge and move to Michigan! Shelby is married to David, who’s honestly Sara & Shelby’s parents favorite child. They both work at GM and have all of the fun toys any adult child would be jealous of. They are the parents to two cats, Toulouse and Winnie.
Chris Mansur
Best Man
The title of Best Man is really going to the best man, Chris. Chris has been a close friend and confidant to Brian for the past few years. Chris is always available for a funny, usually always inappropriate, joke to lighten any mood. Chris is always rooting on everyone. Whether it's from the stands, in the dugout at his kids baseball games, or in the comfort of your own living room. He always wants everyone to achieve what they want out of life and is willing to drop anything along the way for anyone.
Lauren Teolis

Lauren is commonly known as Sara and Brian’s crazy next door neighbor, but her and Sara have been inseparable since they met! With both of their close family predominantly out of town, they both have been a good support system for one another. Lauren is engaged to Perry and will be celebrating their Union one month after us!
Jeff Moceri
Groomsman
Jeff is married to Brian's sister Michelle and conveniently lives 2 doors down from Brian & Sara. Jeff is just as devoted to fishing in his spare time as he is to his adorable two little kids, Cameron and Charlotte. You can find Jeff in his spare time out on his boat on Lake St Clair, or cooking something delicious in the kitchen.
Britnee Hensel
Bridesmaid
Britnee and Sara met while going through respiratory school. Britnee has always been the fun loving friend who’s always found the positive in everything. Sara and Britnee have been on a couple big trips together, including Sara’s first time on a plane AND to the ocean! They have made some amazing memories along the way. Britnee is married to Kevin and they share two adorable daughters, Aubree and Bailee. Fun fact: Bailee flirted with Brian when we first met her!
Mike Langewicz

Brian and Mike go back to the old school hockey days where they both were a duo to be reckoned with on the ice. Big Lou had told us some pretty entertaining stories about these two. According to Brian he was the aggressor and Mike was the goal scorer….but I’m serious, ask Big Lou about THE hockey story, he tells it the best and you won’t be disappointed. And don’t let their good looks fool you, these two were no angels growing up. A salesman at Fairway Packing by day (yes, he is a meat expert), and a family man at night. Mike is married to his wonderful wife Kourtney, and father to Logan and Lexi!

Courtney has been Sara’s friend since middle school! A country girl at heart, Courtney is extremely loyal, honest, and has one of the biggest hearts. She has built such an amazing life with her husband Will and is a devoted mother to Kimber and another little one on the way!
Louie Mattera

Louie is Brian’s big brother. And like all older siblings, Brian looked up to him growing up…we haven’t figured out if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. Don’t let his quietness fool you, a couple Jäeger bombs and he’s the life of the party! You’ll most likely hear him laugh before he talks though! Louie is the lucky husband to Renee, his daughter Elle has him wrapped around her finger, and his son Little Louie is following in his hockey footsteps!
Andrew Mattera

Andrew is Brian’s first born. He’s a little more reserved than his younger brother, but he sure does light up any room with his smile! He has the biggest heart and cares so much for those around him. He has been enjoying playing hockey, and even had the opportunity to play at Little Caesars Arena! Andrew is also, as grandma calls him, a “jet-head.” He loves driving the jet-ski with Brian on the lake! We are so excited to see where he goes in the future!

Like we said before, Elle has her daddy Louie wrapped around her little fingers! You’ll see her and Charlotte tag teaming together throughout the wedding day! She knows all the popular TikTok dances, so keep an eye out for her on the dance floor!

If you haven’t met Troy, you will, and you’ll know when you do! He’s the center of attention and enjoys every minute of it! This kid really does keep everyone on their toes. Troy is a natural at everything he picks up. He gives the biggest hugs and keeps the jokes coming all day!
Charlotte Moceri

Oh sweet little Charlotte! She lights up every room she runs into too! She’s attached to the hip of her cousin Elle, so you’ll see the dynamic duo together the whole night! If you don’t see Charlotte she will either be on the dance floor bustin’ a move, or sneaking another piece of cake during the reception.
