Reception & Primary Hotel Historic Eagle House https://www.historiceaglehouse.com/ Our reception will be held at the Historic Eagle House, located in the heart of Old Town Eureka. This is also our primary hotel for guests who choose to stay on site.     •    From ACV: ~ 25-minute drive     •    From RDD: ~ 3.5–4 hours     •    From STS: ~ 4.5–5 hours     •    From SFO: ~ 5.5–6 hours Guests staying here can check in, relax, and walk directly to the reception—no additional transportation needed. We've reserved 21 of the 23 rooms for the wedding. To reserve a room you will HAVE TO CALL the front desk at 707-444-3344. Each room is unique (to view the actual rooms visit their website: https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=cug1fSPEy5f so make sure if you want a specific room you have one chosen before you call. You will need to say you are booking for the Otto Wedding and you will get 10% off the room rate. ⸻ Overflow Hotel (Charming & Walkable) Carter House Inns https://carterhouse.com/ If the Eagle House is fully booked, we recommend Carter House Inns, located just steps away.     •    Same historic complex as the Eagle House     •    Victorian charm with cozy, historic rooms     •    Easy walking distance to the reception Old Town Eureka is very walkable, with nearby restaurants, shops, and waterfront views close by. ⸻ Travel Tips •    Book flights and rental cars early, especially if flying into ACV •    Coastal weather and winding roads can add drive time—plan accordingly •    Highway 101 is iconic and scenic if you’re making a road trip out of it

If you’re traveling to Eureka, we highly recommend turning the trip into a long weekend. The North Coast is wild, beautiful, and full of places worth exploring. Redwoods, Obviously  •    Redwood National and State Parks – Just north of Eureka, home to some of the tallest trees on earth •    Avenue of the Giants – An iconic, easy scenic drive with pull-offs for photos and short walks Coastlines & Small Beach Towns •    Trinidad – A charming seaside town with dramatic cliffs and ocean views •    Trinidad Head – A short hike with big payoff views Old Town Eureka •    Wander through historic Old Town •    Grab coffee, explore local shops, and walk along the waterfront •    Everything is walkable from the Eagle House and Carter House Inns Optional Wine Country Detour If you’re flying into Santa Rosa or San Francisco, consider spending a night in Sonoma County on the way up or back for an extra-relaxed start or finish to your trip. ⸻ Our Take This area moves a little slower—in the best way.
