FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by Wednesday, April 1st. If no response is received, you will be marked as not attending.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! You do have the option to leave your car overnight, but if you car is not gone by 10 am the following day you will be fined. Galena does not have many (if any) options for Uber, Lyft, etc., so if you plan on not being able to drive, or are staying at one of our hotels, we recommend taking advantage of our room block and free shuttle to and from!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels and venue?

Answer

Yes! We have booked buses to help get both the ceremony guests as well as the cocktail hour/reception guests to and from the hotels and venue. Our venue is about 30-35 minutes from Galena and is down backroads. If you plan to have some drinks, please consider getting a hotel and utilizing our FREE shuttle! BUS PICK UP/DROP OFF LOCATIONS: -Ramada by Wyndham parking lot (Pick up for Ramada and Country Inn. They are separated by a grass property that you will have to walk through if staying at the Country Inn.) -Irish Cottage Inn parking lot (Pick up for the Irish Cottage and Best Western. If staying at BW you will have to walk through the Happy Joe's parking lot.)

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To keep our guest list intimate, we are only able to accommodate the guests that will be listed on your official invitation. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us :)

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We will not be allowing children unless they were addressed on your invite.

Question

Can we take photos/videos during the ceremony?

Answer

Our photographer and videographer are amazing at what they do and we want them to be able to capture the most amazing memories for us! With that being said, we will be having an unplugged ceremony. We ask that you turn off your ringer and keep any phones or cameras tucked away until cocktail hour.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors in the Woodland Forest. The reception will take place both in the Pavilion (covered barn area with open sides) and near the Path of Pines (outdoors). This is all weather permitting.

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

Absolutely! There will be popcorn to grab from the country store to snack on throughout cocktail hour to hold you over during dances and speeches. We are not having a formal dinner in hopes that we have a better opportunity to mingle with all of you! The food truck will be available starting as soon as speeches are through and will last until the end of the night. Feel free to grab your meal whenever you are hungry during the reception time!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No official dress code! Feel free to dress up with us, or you can wear your nicest pair of jeans (if that's more your speed) and a nice shirt. Wear what makes you feel good and will be comfortable to eat, drink, dance, and play games in!

Question

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

Smoking is permitted outdoors. There is no smoking permitted at the ceremony site nor the pavilion (reception barn). We ask that you step away from other guests while vaping or smoking. Thanks for being respectful!!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We have everything we could need! With that being said, we'd appreciate it if you'd donate towards our honeymoon fund. Zola does charge a 2.5% fee for credit cards, so we have also attached our Venmo to our registry page as there is no extra fee. You are of course welcome to bring something the day of, if you so choose. Either way, what's most important is that we get to spend our day with everyone we love so much!

Question

Have more questions?

Answer

If you have questions, odds are someone else does too. Email us at workmanwedding26@gmail.com and we will respond and add it to this list!
