FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

TBD! You will receive an official invite in the future with an RSVP date.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is parking on site. You do have the option to leave your car overnight, but if it is not gone by 10 am the following day (you are responsible for finding transportation back to the venue to get your vehicle), you will be fined.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the reception?

Answer

This is in the works! This survey is also listed on our travel tab. If you would take it, it would be very appreciated and will help us ensure that we have enough transportation from the venue to our room block hotels! Our venue is about 25-30 minutes from Galena and is down some country backroads. If you plan to have some drinks, please consider getting a hotel for the night and utilizing our FREE shuttle! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CWTKVRM

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

TBD This will be specified on your invite :)

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To keep our guest list intimate, we are only able to accommodate the guests that will be listed on your official invitation. If you have any questions before then, feel free to reach out to us :)

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We will not be allowing children unless they were addressed on your invite.

Question

Can we take photos/videos during the ceremony?

Answer

Our photographer and videographer are amazing at what they do and we want them to be able to capture the most amazing memories for us! With that being said, we will be having an unplugged ceremony. We ask that you turn off your ringer and leave it in your pocket/bag.

Question

Can we take photos/videos during the reception?

Answer

We ask that you don't take any pictures or videos during our dances and speeches, as we want everyone to be in the moment with us! With that being said, we ask that you DO take SO many pictures and videos as you please while eating, drinking, and playing games to share with us!!

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting) in a secluded wooded area. The reception will also be outdoors and there's a covered pavilion with seating to eat dinner.

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

Absolutely! There will be snacks to grab and snack on throughout cocktail hour, dances, and speeches. We are not having a sit down meal, in hopes that we have a better opportunity to mingle with all of you! The food truck will be available starting as soon as speeches are through and will last until the end of the night. Feel free to grab your meal whenever you are hungry during the reception time!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No dress code! If we had to choose, we'd say 'beach/very casual'. Feel free to wear your nicest pair of jeans (if that's more your speed) and a nice shirt. No need to wear dress pants, a suit, or a fancy dress! Wear something that makes you feel good and that you can play yard games in! Although, if you'd like to get a little fancy with us, we'd love to see it! Examples: -Khakis (pants or shorts) and a nice shirt (button down, collared, etc.) -Romper, sundress, maxidress. Jean shorts more your speed? Go for it! -

Question

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

Smoking is permitted outdoors. There is no smoking permitted at the ceremony site nor the pavilion (reception barn). We ask that you step away from other guests while vaping or smoking. Thanks for being respectful!!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We have everything we could need! With that being said, we'd appreciate it if you'd donate towards our honeymoon fund. We would love to go to Hawaii! Zola does charge a 2.5% fee for credit cards, so we have also attached our Venmo to our registry page as there is no extra fee. You are of course welcome to bring something the day of, if you so choose. Either way, what's most important is that we get to spend our day with everyone we love so much!

Question

Have more questions?

Answer

If you have questions, odds are someone else does too. Email us at workmanwedding26@gmail.com and we will respond and add it to this list!
