Ben and Stephanie met in 2010 even though they went to the same high school through a mutual friend, groomsman Ryan. She friend zoned him for a few years but on December 22, 2013 they decided to turn their friendship into a relationship.

It took a while but Ben finally decided to pop the question during a hike at Rogue Urban Nation Park while on vacation in Toronto. It didn't quite go as planned as Ben fumbled around in his pocket thinking he lost the ring (it would have been way too obvious to carry a box so he wrapped in up tightly in his pocket). He finally was able to break it free and asked Stephanie to marry him. He knew she was the one because she shared his love of plaid and soccer. Stephanie and Ben could not be more excited to celebrate the next step of their journey with each of you, who have played (and will continue to play) such an important part in their journey!
