Nick and I had met once briefly in 2019 through a mutual friend/girlfriend 😅 Then in 2020 we matched on tinder. The internet can be a beautiful thing sometimes! I had such a crush on Nick when we first met and we had been casual Facebook friends occasionally commenting on each others posts. So when we matched I had to reach out. Our first date we went for a hike with Whiskey. And the rest is history!

We got engaged in the middle of a fantastic two week long vacation in august 2023. We started in the Adirondack’s, then spent a few days in Burlington, Vermont. Our next stop was New Hampshire and that is where the magic happened. We were camping in the beautiful white mountains and decided to emerge from the woods and back into society for a drink at the nearby Mt. Washington Hotel. In need of a shower and wearing our best hiking clothes we found our way through this gorgeous historic hotel and down to the bar. What better location to have a drink then the scenic rooftop balcony? Nick suggested we get a panoramic picture of the incredible Mountain View, so I took it on my phone and imagine my surprise when I (very slowly) turned and saw him on one knee with my grandmothers ring in his hand. Of course I said YES! On the drive from the hotel back to our campsite, still on cloud 9, we saw not one, but 3 moose! We’ll take it as a sign that the universe is happy we found each other :) I know I am.
