Mill Valley is a very popular destination known for a super cute downtown area and easy access to both the Golden Gate Bridge and Muir Woods National Park. As the wedding is on Memorial Day weekend, please please please book your travel and accommodations as early as possible- some hotels are already booking up!
Flight
Airports near Mill Valley
While there are several San Francisco Bay Area airports, we highly recommend flying into Oakland Airport (OAK) if you are coming early to enjoy the area and staying in the East Bay. This airport is smaller and lets you avoid the crowds. The drive from Oakland Airport to Mill Valley is about 40 minutes. San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is another great option for those who are flying long distance. The drive from SFO to Mill Valley takes about 40 minutes (without traffic), but will take you directly through San Francisco and across the Golden Gate Bridge. If you are looking to hit all the iconic SF spots on your way to the wedding, this is your route!
