Yes :)
Late May in Mill Valley, California is likely to be sunny with a light coastal breeze coming through the mountains. The average temperature for this weekend historically is between 52-66 degrees. Please plan on it being cool in the morning and evening, but things are expected to heat up on the dance floor!
As soon as possible! But by March 3, 2025 at the latest. We are so excited to see everyone (and make the seating charts) so please let us know if you'll be able to join us.
Through this website! Use the links in the website header to navigate to the RSVP page.
Please arrive to the Wedding Welcome at the Mill Valley Community Center between 3:00-3:15pm so you have time to park and have a drink before we start transport to the ceremony space.
If they were also invited, absolutely! As much as we (Rachel) would love to have the biggest celebration ever with everyone, the seating at our ceremony space is extremely limited and plus ones are by invite only.
While we love kids, only those closest to us will be included on this day and it will be included on your family's invitation. Thank you for understanding! If you are traveling with your family and will need help finding childcare, please let us know- we are lucky enough to have family in the area who have recommendations for local babysitters.
Whatever makes you feel beautiful! The vibe we are going for is a colorful, whimsical, garden party and will post the wedding colors here once they are set if you'd like to join in the fun! We recommend tea to floor length dresses/jumpsuits and suits. While this is not a black-tie event, if you want to rock a tux or gown, you'll get no complaints from us!
Our wedding will span a forest floor, grass fields, and indoor spaces. If you plan on wearing heels, please consider a block heel or wedge. For the guys, please wear closed toed dress shoes or appropriate adjacent.
Transportation will be provided from the reception space to the ceremony and back. There is ample parking at the reception space, so please find your way there during our Wedding Welcome event to ensure your transportation to the ceremony. Parking in the ceremony area is very limited so please try to park at the reception space and take the wedding transportation if possible!
We would love for you to take photos during the reception with friends and family (bonus points if you know the rule of thirds), but we will have professional photographers and a videographer for the entire day, so as hypocritical as it is coming from me (Rachel), we would ask that the ceremony stay phone/camera free. We promise to share the professional shots with everyone after the event!
Please let us know of any allergies! Our planned menu for the event is quite customizable and we hope everyone will love it, but please reach out if you have any concerns.
Yes, so come prepared to have a good time!
Yes! We have a hotel block at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in San Rafael. If that's not quite your speed, The Lodge at Tiburon or Acqua Hotel Mill Valley are lovely options. If you will be renting a car or would like to explore the area, you may want to consider a hotel with San Francisco or closer to Berkeley/Oakland.
Of course! Any chance to include something punny. Our wedding hashtags are #HeyRusso and #HeyRussoWedding. Please consider using them when you post so we can find them later :)
Your presence is a gift. We are so grateful for everyone coming to celebrate with us, particularly those who will be traveling to join us. If you would like give an additional gift to celebrate our marriage, we will have a registry linked on this website. While most of the items are experiential, if you would prefer a physical gift, we will have some linked as well. If there is an item you would like to select but know better than we do (someone please find us a cutting board that Rachel won't destroy), absolutely feel free to deviate a bit!
Yes! Mill Valley celebrates Memorial Day in a big way- complete with musical performances, town events and a parade on Monday.
