We met when Lauren's uncle took her to a junior shooting clinic in Prescott, Arizona. Jacob was an instructor that day, and tried quite hard to work with Lauren on the range. A few days later they began talking over Facebook, and then began dating on June 17th, 2013.

We were in Utah for the USPSA National's competition, and Lauren had driven up from Flagstaff so we could spend the weekend together. After Jacob took her to many beautiful spots he finally drove up a large hill, and it was absolutely gorgeous up there. Once on top of the hill he popped the question as a large storm was coming in from the distance. And of course, she said YES!
