Cody has lovely summer weather. August can be warm during the day, with highs in the upper 70's°F and low 80's°F. The nights usually cool off to somewhere around the low 50's°F. Afternoon thundershowers are common. Wind is almost always guaranteed. The climate is very dry, but there are lots of water features to cool off in. DDX is at a little over 6,000 ft in elevation.
Cell phone service is pretty spotty once you start driving up the South Fork. Only AT&T will have service at the ranch. We suggest downloading some directions in Cody before you head out.
Totally up to you! If you want to make a family road trip out of it -- great! However, we will not have a babysitter at the wedding so they are totally your responsibility. DDX does have a playground and basketball court.
No dogs at the ceremony or at DDX ranch.
Yes. There are bears here. Greg, Darby's dad, has lots of dogs so if you plan ahead with him you can borrow one for your hike.
