Question

WEATHER UPDATES

Answer

For Friday: The Welcome Party at the Nats game will proceed as planned. In the event of a rain delay, we will still meet at the Home Plate Tailgate area until first pitch. For Saturday: The Ceremony location has been moved to the DAR. The timing of events is unchanged. Please do NOT travel to the DC War Memorial as originally scheduled. Last updated: Friday 9/27 at 3:00pm

Question

What does "Black Tie Optional" mean?

Answer

Want to wear a tux? Great, you won't be the only one! If a tux isn't for you, a dark colored suit and tie works great too! For the ladies, put on your favorite evening gown or cocktail dress; we know y'all are going to look stunning!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! We are registered at Zola, Crate & Barrel, and Target. Please see the "Registry" tab for more details!

Question

Can I Bring a Date? Are Children Welcome?

Answer

We're excited to have an intimate wedding surrounded by our favorite people! Any invited guests and children will be listed on your invitation. We politely request that only the people named in your invitation be present.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We've arranged hotel blocks at The Willard, Hotel Hive, and Hyatt Centric Arlington. Please see the "Travel" tab above for more details!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend you arrive at the DAR about 15-20 minutes before the ceremony. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00pm, so please don't be late!

Question

Will transportation be provided to and from the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided prior to the Ceremony; but in a city like DC, there is an abundance of transportation options you can choose from! Whether by Metro, Uber, Lyft, bus, taxi, bikeshare, scooter, or on foot, we're confident you won't have much trouble finding your way to the DAR. If you choose to drive yourself, please be aware that limited street parking may be available near the DAR. We can't wait to see you there! For out-of-town guests staying in our hotel blocks, shuttles will be available to take you from the DAR back to our three recommended hotels. These shuttles will depart the DAR at 9:00pm, 10:00pm, and 11:00pm. Each shuttle will stop at The Willard, Hotel Hive, and Hyatt Centric Arlington.

Question

I RSVP'd for the Welcome Party at the Nats Game, How Do I Get My Tickets?

Answer

For guests that RSVP'd for the Welcome Party at the Nats game, your tickets were transferred on Friday, September 20 to the email address you provided for your group in your RSVP. Please remember that at least one person in your group will need an MLB Ballpark app account that uses that same email address in order to receive and access your tickets. If you haven't already done so, please review that September 20 email for instructions on how to accept the ticket transfer, and make sure you're able to access your tickets in the MLB Ballpark app before you arrive for the game. If you haven't received your tickets, please reach out to Madison or Tyler.

Question

What's the best way to get to Nats Park?

Answer

Nats Park is easily accessible via the Metro, just take the Green Line to the Navy Yard-Ballpark station. If you prefer to drive, there are several parking lots and garages around the stadium. You can visit www.nationals.com/parking for more information or to buy a parking pass.

Question

What do I do/Where do I go when I arrive at Nats Park for the welcome party?

Answer

Nats Park will open their gates at 5:30pm. The Home Plate Tailgate area is right next to the Home Plate Gate, but you can use any gate to enter the stadium. After a standard security screening (please be aware that there is a clear bag policy for any bag larger than a clutch), you will then scan your mobile tickets using the MLB Ballpark app. Once inside the stadium, join us at the Home Plate Tailgate area in the Main Concourse behind home plate. When the game starts at 6:45pm, we will move to our seats in Section 135. If the game start time is delayed due to rain, we will wait out the rain at the Home Plate Tailgate area.
