If you are flying we recommend using Miami International Airport (MIA). MIA is hub for American but getting any other major airline flights is easy to do. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International is another good option if you're willing to drive a little further.

Rental Car

We definitely recommend renting a car if you can. Public transportation isn't very reliable in Miami so renting a car is the most convenient, but Ubers are readily available so you can use those to get around pretty easily as well.

There are so many great places to stay in Miami depending on what you want to do! Stay in Coral Gables near Miracle Mile if you want to be close to good shops and restaurants, in Coconut Grove for some history and great bay views, or on South Beach if you want that beachy, straight out of a movie Miami.
