Travel Note

Transportation from the Airport

The best way to get to the North Shore from the Pittsburgh Airport is an Uber/Lyft. There is a bus to the airport (28X) that costs $2.75 one-way, but it does require a transfer to get to the North Shore (https://www.rideprt.org/pdfs/28X.pdf). Use the trip planner linked below to plan your ride. Use the true time website (https://truetime.rideprt.org/home) to get realtime information on where your bus/train is or download one of the transportation apps for easier use (https://www.rideprt.org/inside-Pittsburgh-Regional-Transit/rider-info/mobile-applications/). Make sure if you use public transportation that you bring exact fare ($2.75 one way) or get a ConnectCard.

Travel Note

Parking in Pittsburgh

There will be ample parking available at our venue on the day of our wedding. Otherwise, parking in Pittsburgh definitely requires parallel parking skills! Street parking is typically metered before 6pm on Saturday, but is free on Sundays. There is free 2h parking in many of the neighborhood streets. Wherever you park, be sure to read the parking signs carefully. If you can't parallel park, don't worry - you can usually find a paid parking lot or garage nearby. If you are going downtown, we would recommend taking an Uber/public transit or parking in a garage as street parking is often hard to find!

Travel Note

Public Transportation

If you want to save on Uber costs and don't have a car, you can use public transportation! It is very easy to get from the North Side to Downtown Pittsburgh using the free light-rail system which will pick you up from the North Side Station near PNC park (https://maps.app.goo.gl/x3gAKJJKUu9E7R298). Use the trip planner linked below to find the best route to get from point A to point B. Use the true time website (https://truetime.rideprt.org/home) to get real time information on where your bus/train is or download one of the transportation apps for easier use (https://www.rideprt.org/inside-Pittsburgh-Regional-Transit/rider-info/mobile-applications/). Make sure if you use public transportation that you bring exact fare ($2.75 one way) or get a ConnectCard.
