This is a Pittsburgh tradition that dates back to the Great Depression when money was too tight for an elaborate cake, so family and friends would come together to bake cookies for the wedding. Now, every wedding in Pittsburgh has a cookie table full of cookies that are baked with love for the bride and groom! We welcome you to share your favorite cookies with us to add to our cookie table. Bringing cookies is entirely optional as there will be plenty of cookies to go around!
There is ample parking in the parking lot at the National Aviary.
Suggested attire is semi-formal/cocktail attire, but wear whatever you are comfortable in! Please check the weather and consider bringing a light jacket as our ceremony will be outdoors. The reception will be held indoors in the Garden Room.
