FAQs

Questions? Please check out our FAQ and Answers below. While we endeavor to be as detailed as possible in all of our wedding communications, feel free to field any questions not answered here to alex.andrea.abosi@gmail.com or text Andrea at (301) 520-5551.
Question

Where is the ceremony?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will take place at the Church of Saint Vincent Ferrer (869 Lexington Ave, New York City, NY 10065-6648) in the Upper Eastside of Manhattan. The ceremony will officially start at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 22, 2019. Guests can begin to arrive around 12:30 pm.

Question

Where is the reception?

Answer

Our wedding reception will take place at the Cornell Club New York (6 East 44th Street, New York, NY 10017). It is about 1.3 miles from the church and equates to about a half hour walk, 15 minute subway ride, or 10 minute car ride. The reception begins at 4:30 pm, with a cocktail hour preceding it starting at 3:00 pm.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

For the ceremony, guests are encouraged to begin arriving at 12:30 pm. For the reception, guests are welcome to attend the cocktail hour starting at 3:00 pm. The reception will officially begin at 4:30 pm.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Wedding invitations are sent electronically via Greenvelope. Please check your inboxes (and junk inboxes just in case!) for the invite and respond through there.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal or cocktail attire is preferred for both the ceremony and reception. But keep in mind, it'll be summertime in New York!

Question

Have you reserved hotel blocks for out-of-town guests?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have not reserved hotel blocks for our out-of-town guests. Please visit our "Travel & Places to Stay" page for some hotel recommendations that are within a mile or so of both the church and the reception venue. We also recommend checking out Airbnb, especially if you are travelling in a group!

Question

What about wedding gifts? Should I bring a gift to the reception?

Answer

We do not have any wedding registries established for gifts (your presence alone is a gift!), with the exception of our HoneyFund page (you can find it under the "Registry" tab on our website or go here: https://www.honeyfund.com/wedding/herecometheabosis). While we will not discourage other gifts, we would prefer any gifts that are not cards to be shipped to our apartment as there will be limited space at our reception venue. The wedding reception will have a depository for wedding cards though.
