We kindly ask that all our guests stay at our host resort Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos. If you choose not to stay at Sandos, you will be required to pay a $100/person visitor's pass to attend our wedding celebration. We want our wedding celebration to be a vacation experience for everyone and we'd love to spend some time with you outside the Wedding Day, be that at the pool, by sharing a few meals and drinks together or maybe even experiencing an excursion as a group. We have set aside a block of discounted rooms (minimum 3-night stay) at this resort and we ask that you make your reservation through Mara’s mom Kim, who is the travel coordinator!
We will be hosting a Welcome Event at Sandos Finisterra on Saturday, May 27th, 2023. We would love for you to join us for that! Our room block is available from May 25th through June 4th, 2023.
Please dress formal casual for the wedding. Think beachy, but elegant. The ceremony will take place on the beach in the sand and the reception will take place on the terrace rooftop, so shoes are optional on the sand. Anything you would wear to a nice restaurant on a summer day is appropriate and perhaps bring a light sweater for the evening reception at the mountain top terrace, where it can get breezy.
No, this is an adults-only celebration. (Exception for a few family members) Although we love your little ones, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at our ceremony and reception due to restricted numbers. However, the resort is family friendly so children are allowed on this trip. The resort does offer child care services and an on-site Kid's Club for during the Wedding Festivities.
If you book your room through our group block, roundtrip transportation from the airport to Sandos Finisterra is include via a private shuttle service. **Once you have booked your flights, you must send your flight itinerary to Kim, so she can tell the shuttle company when you are arriving and departing.**
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico is typically dry and hot during the summer months -- temperatures are usually in the high 80s to 90s. We recommend bringing light summer clothing and swimsuits. Other helpful essentials include sunblock, mosquito repellent, water shoes, swim coverups, flip-flops, a light cap or hat, sunglasses, tumbler cup (this is a must have!!), reusable straws, speaker, floaties, etc. Think beach vacation with beach elegant attire for the Wedding Day and beach chic attire for dinners on the other nights during your stay.
Yes! Most restaurants for dinner require men to be in dress shorts or pants, collared shirts, with closed toed shoes. However, they are lenient! Just no tank tops! Woman can basically wear anything, just not a swimsuit or a swimsuit cover up. For breakfast and lunch time, there is no dress code.
YES! The resort itself is gated with security checking names at entry. You also have bottled water in your room along with other refreshments and is restocked daily/as needed. **Always drink WATER from a BOTTLED WATER while in Mexico!!**
Please bring small bills to tip the staff for your drinks/food as it is all inclusive. The resort doesn't use straws so if that is a necessity for you, please bring your own.
Yes, the resort has Wifi! When you connect, it will ask you 4 questions: your reservation code, any email address, your first & middle name (as it is on your passport), and then finally your last name. If you need assistance, ask the front desk!
