Question

What is the venue like?

Answer

Kualoa Ranch is an outdoor venue space with limited paved walkways. Hawaii is typically hot during the month of September, so please be sure to drink lots of water! There are restrooms in the pavilion with a small covered patio out front and a large tent for the reception. There will likely be limited shade for the duration of the ceremony. NOTE: There will also be a small amount of uphill walking required to get to the ceremony site from the pavilion on grassy, slightly uneven ground. There is a back road from which guests can be dropped off by car if needed- please let us know if you or someone in your party requires assistance so we can arrange this ahead of time.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is garden formal, meaning florals and colors are allowed. Please note the venue is mostly grass when considering shoe options!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Formal invitations will be sent out with more information regarding RSVPs for the wedding. With that said, you can RSVP for the shuttle to/from the venue now (go to the 'RSVP' page), so please let us know if you would like a spot! It is first come first serve as we may not have enough seats for everyone.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend guests arrive at the venue between 3:00-3:30 pm so everyone has time to use the restroom and get settled in their seats before the 4 pm ceremony.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there are 3 small, grassy parking lots at the Paliku Gardens which can accommodate up to 80 vehicles. When you arrive at Kualoa Ranch, keep left at the fork. Continue driving through the parking lot past the visitor center and drive up the hill labeled with a sign “Authorized Vehicles Only”. Make sure to drive all the way up the hill. Guest parking will be located on the right side of the green pavilion.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see the 'Travel' page for information regarding accommodations.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes- if you choose not to drive to the venue, there will be a shuttle available to and from the venue. Please see the 'Travel' page for more details and the 'RSVP' page to reserve a spot.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

While gifts are greatly appreciated, they are not expected and your presence on our big day is truly the best gift we could ask for. If you would like, we are registered and it is available under the ‘Registry’ tab. We also ask that if you choose to purchase a physical gift (instead of gifting to our honeymoon fund) that you please have the item shipped to our home. We will have very limited ability to bring gifts home from Hawaii/our honeymoon- and also don't want you to have to travel with it either!

For all the days along the way
