The best airport to fly into for this occasion is Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia, about a two-hour drive from Hacienda Pinilla.

How do we get around?

We typically recommend getting a rental car for ease of travel, but there are options for setting up shuttles if you aren't thrilled about driving in Costa Rica. Uber and ride-share apps like it are illegal and unregulated, so please, plan ahead. We look forward to seeing you and celebrating!

Adobe Rent-a-Car

Our family has been using Adobe Rent-A-Car for all our Costa Rican rental car needs for many years, and they have always been fantastic! Please be aware that they can sometimes be limited with their selection of vehicles, so the early bird gets the worm on this one!

Travel Note

I rented a car, now what?

The roads in Costa Rica can be a bit... unpredictable. Many of the main highways are paved, but most roads off the main path are dirt and rock (so opt for 4 wheel drive). For navigation, we recommend using Waze and selecting "avoid long unpaved roads" in your settings, so you don't end rock climbing your car through someone's farm, speaking from experience.
