Playa Ventanas
Playa Ventanas is known in the Bethune family as one of the prettiest beaches in Costa Rica with stunning waves, white sand, and tidal pools that allow you to see the ocean, and all it's creatures, in a different light.
Restaurante Coco Loco
A Bethune favorite for many, many years. You have to try the ceviche and the famous crazy lemonade!
Gracia At Mar Vista
If Josh has ever told you about how he "accidentally" ate all the lobster bisque we were sharing because it was just THAT good, this would be the place! Delicious food and stunning views from a hilltop.
Taco Star
When you pull up to this place you may think the GPS took you the wrong way, but I promise, it didn't. In this small beach shack overlooking some of the best waves in Playa Grande lives the best tacos and banana bread ever. I'm not exaggerating.
Boutique Surf Hotel RipJack Inn
A delicious restaurant that was recently redone to a chic, beachy restaurant near the estuary. Josh recommends the tuna tower!
Diamante Eco Adventure Park
Josh and I went here on our first trip together and had a blast! This adventure park packs all the thrills in one. We're talking zip-lining, cultural tours, a zoo, and even an exciting drive through a river to get there!
Sensoria "Land of Senses and Magical rainforest"
For those looking to explore the phenomenal rainforests, soaking in natural thermal springs, and may be staying here for a bit longer, I recommend Sensoria. Their tagline is "Land of Senses and Magical Rainforest," which I truly think sums it up perfectly! Josh and I still talk about this today at least once a month! Be sure to ask for Joaquin as your guide.

This place holds a special home in our heart. It is truly breathtaking to indescribable amount.
The Springs Resort & Spa at Arenal
The Springs resort was the highlight of our trip, combing the relaxing hot spring hidden throughout the resort, delicious cuisine, and thrill excursions. For those staying a bit longer and will to take a journey into the mountains!
