FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 21, 2023. It is important to RSVP in a timely manner as we will need to submit your name to the Naval base for you to be allowed access onto it for the reception. If you RSVP yes to the reception, we will reach out to you for your full legal name as it appears on your government issued ID since that is what the base will use to determine admittance.

Question

How do I get on the military base for the reception?

Answer

All guests must enter the base through gate 3A which is right off I-564. Two weeks in advance we will submit the full legal names of all our guests to the base and they will admit guests based off the list provided. Guests ages eighteen years or older will be required to show a valid government issued ID. Please note: vehicles with expired tags or state registration may not be allowed on the military base.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Both the church and venue have free parking lots. If you are staying at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel, temporary unloading parking is available at the front of the hotel and long-term parking is available nearby in Dominion Tower Parking Garage. There is a fee of $16 for overnight parking in the garage. $25 overnight parking that includes in and out privileges in the garage or $35 overnight valet parking in the lot right next to the hotel can also be coordinated directly through the hotel.

Question

When should I book reservations at the hotel by?

Answer

The deadline to book reservations with the special rate at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel is September 19, 2023.

Question
