Arriving early or just need to kill some time? Here are a few things to do in and around Sparta. We’ll update this page with more recommendations soon!
Lake Mohawk Boardwalk

Lake Mohawk Boardwalk

Lake Mohawk Boardwalk, Sparta, NJ 07871

Be sure to check out the Lake Mohawk Boardwalk, a little lakeside escape that looks like it was borrowed from a storybook village. You can stroll past cute little shops, snap some Instagram pics, and treat yourself to ice cream or a drink (both highly encouraged). Take a leisurely lap along the water, soak in the views, and enjoy the cozy alpine vibe while you pretend you’re on a mini-vacation. Fun fact: Lake Mohawk was officially founded in 1927 and named in honor of the Native American Mohawk Princess, Princess White Deer, who was known for her many Broadway performances at the time.
