Our journey began in May 2017 during our high school junior prom. Surprisingly, we had missed ever meeting each other up until then, despite being in the same graduating class since freshman year. Upon first meeting, we quickly discovered how well we connected. Things progressed rapidly, and after just a month and a half with only two official dates, Madi asked Henry to make their relationship official on June 29, 2017. Some connections are simply meant to be, and it became evident that ours could not be overlooked. We celebrated numerous significant milestones together throughout high school and into college. Both of us attended Butte Community College after leaving Pleasant Valley High School. Madi then pursued a degree in Communications at Chico State, while Henry moved to San Luis Obispo to study Electrical Engineering at Cal Poly. After a year of long distance, Madi graduated in 2022 and relocated to San Luis Obispo to close the gap, allowing us to live together for the first time. In San Luis Obispo, we enjoyed the beach, the pleasant weather, and the quality time we had missed while long-distance. Henry graduated in 2023 and secured a job with PG&E. In October 2023, we moved to Roseville, where Madi began working for CAL FIRE. The following months were quite busy as we built our lives in a new city, but it has truly become home. On June 29, 2024, we celebrated our seven-year anniversary with a lovely dinner, during which Henry proposed. Today, we reside in Roseville and have expanded our family by adopting a kitten named Cece, who certainly keeps us on our toes. We are so eager to see what the future holds for us; while the past years together have been incredible, we are confident that the years ahead as a married couple will be unforgettable. We can’t wait to celebrate nearly eight years of love, gratitude, growth, and memories with our closest friends and family at our wedding on April 26, 2025. We wouldn’t be where we are without all of you, and we hope you cherish this weekend filled with fun, food, dancing, and drinks for years to come. With love, M & H
