We first met one February night when Josh, Harry's roommate, invited Katie and her friend Christy over for a pregame before hitting the town. Harry busted out his copy of Just Dance and some 5 star performances to aid the pregame. After a few dances together, Katie wowed Harry with her goofy moves and invited him to tag along with the group to a bar. Although we didn't talk for two months, with some help from Christy, we finally reconnected and hit it off.

Anyone who knows Katie knows her love of penguins is just as strong as her love of Harry. She loves how loyal penguins are and that they mate for life. When I was deciding where to propose, I knew penguins had to be involved somehow. Katie has always dreamed of petting a penguin, and I knew the Brookfield Zoo had the cutest penguins available for petting. I booked us ticket for the penguin experience where Katie's dreams came true in more ways than one. She got to finally interact with some adorable penguins and was clearly in her element. After the experience, while still on a happy high, I walked Katie over to the central fountain and asked her to marry me. Katie happily said yes! We can't wait to celebrate with you soon in Illinois!
