Wedding Party

Meet our wedding party!

Rachel Ridgeway

Maid of Honor

Mikey and I met in 2020 during our first summer at the Pines, but didn't become close until 2022 when we served on Senior staff together and shared a room with beds less than a foot apart. After that summer ended, thanks to facetime, our camp friendship quickly turned into a 'real life' friendship and we became as inseparable as possible while living in different states. We started our friendship as roommates and I am so blessed to walk through engagement with her as her roommate again! It is my greatest privilege and honor to be her right hand woman as she enters this next season of life and for every season of life to come!

Lily Ray

Bridesmaid

Mikey and I met in 2021 at camp, but we didn't start becoming close until just over a year ago, and now, I can't remember what my life was like without Mikey as one of my best friends. We have a fun story - meeting at camp, becoming water village coordinators in 2022 and 2023, to dating roommates, and now being each other's roommates. Mikey has been a role model to me, and I feel so lucky to get to call her a friend. To know her is to love her. I am so beyond blessed to get to stand by her side on her big day!

Mary Brummel

Bridesmaid

Mikey and I first met in 2021 working at the Pines, but I think we first truly bonded & became life long friends in 2022 during lifeguard training at the beginning of our summer on senior staff together at camp. She was my desk neighbor in the office, who I could always rely on & be encouraged by when I needed it most. Mikey continues to be one of my closest friends, even from states away! I can’t wait to support her on her big day!!!

Hope Landuyt

Bridesmaid

I had the gift of meeting Micaela in the beautiful town of Leakey, Texas, and our friendship blossomed almost instantly. It felt like we’d known each other for years. Since then, she’s been an incredible friend, and I’m so grateful for the bond we share. I can’t wait to stand by her side on her big day and create many more memories together in the years to come.

Kyra deKanter

Bridesmaid

I have been friends with Mikey and Matt since the fall semester of 2020. My friendship with Mikey truly began after the first few meetings of our Bible study group and the Awakening retreat that semester. In the college years that followed, we grew closer through bonfires, Banita nights, tequila, long walks, and late night chats about our dreams, college, Catholicism, and vocations (aka boys). We celebrated each others successes and walked with each other through many challenges. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be the confident woman I am today without her always being in my corner, even from afar. I am honored to be a witness of her and Matt’s love for each other and to be a bridesmaid at their wedding! I cannot wait to see the glimpse of heaven that they show the world through their marriage!

Madison James

Bridesmaid

Mikey and I met way back in 2018 during Sam and I 1st vacation to Port A. I was there with Sam’s family and Mikey was there with her family. We immediately hit it off and kept up with each other throughout the years. We even started calling each other cousins before we were officially cousins. Port A is also the first time I met Matt and I instantly knew that they were meant to be. Mikey, Matt, Sam and I have continued the Port A trip for many years. I am so thankful to have had Mikey stand by my side for my wedding and I can’t wait to stand by her side for her wedding!

Casen Salitore

Best Man

Matt and I met the summer we were going into Sixth Grade and we’ve been rolling as best friends ever since! Between high school football, visiting each other’s colleges, spring break trips, and the post college real world, we’ve seen each other through it all. A whole lotta whataburger, cold beer, and inside jokes have brought us to where we are today and I couldn’t be more fired up to celebrate Matt marrying the love of his life. Go Cru, Axe ‘Em Jacks, Go Air Force, and Wreck Em Tech!

Luke Amosson

Groomsman

Matt and I met in the 9th grade at The Pines Catholic Camp. He and I remained friends throughout high school. Then we worked at Camp together every summer in College, Our last summer we were roommates for 3 months. Which leads into our post college plans. Matt and I moved in together a year after graduation and have been roommates for the last 2 years! I’m proud to be one of Matt’s groomsman today and I'm  very excited to celebrate the Navarros!

Zack Weiss

Groomsman

I met Matt summer 2015 when we were cabinmates at the Pines and we quickly bonded by performing the songs "knee deep" and "5000 candles in the wind" with our cabin. We kept in touch throughout high school as I was in Dallas and he was in Tyler (go Cru always) and even were campers together again in 2017. We served on staff at camp together from 2019-2022, culminating with senior staff together in 2022, sharing a mega bed with Luke for three months straight! I visited him in Nac for nights at Banita and general lumberjack happenings and he visited me at UD for groundhog days and the greatest fencing exhibition in Texas history! While I am a little bitter that he didn't move to Dallas until after I moved to Florida, our perpetually long distance friendship has remained as strong as ever. Matt and I constantly push each other to be better men and we have been together from our highest of highs to our lowest of lows. I am sad that I have to delete his and Mikey's phone numbers and never speak to them again after they get married, but I am profoundly honored to stand by him at this wedding of the century!

Evan Leblanc

Groomsman

I first met Matt our Freshman year of college. After that we became close friends and worked together at The Pines. While in college we started Whata-Wednesday which became a weekly staple where we could talk about life and the goals that we had set for ourselves. He has also come and helped my family on our christmas tree farm for several years and hopefully many more.  Matt has always been one of the most amazing men that I know and I cannot wait for the Navarro’s to be married!

Zach deKanter

Groomsman

Hello, My name is Zach de Kanter and I am one of the groomsmen! I met Matt at bible study freshman year at SFA and we quickly became best friends. We both counseled at The Pines summer camp and were apart of the Whata Wednesday boys with Evan LeBlanc. Matt has quickly become more of a brother than a friend and was also a groomsmen in my wedding! I’m so blessed to have been able to watch Matt and Micaela’s love grow over the years and I’m so excited to stand next to Matt on his wedding day. Love you dude and i’m so proud of you! As always… Axe ‘Em.

Jose Alonzo

Groomsman

I met Matt during our SWAT summer at The Pines in 2019. And boy, what a summer it was. From the jump I knew Matt and I’s friendship would be special and as the summer went on I was proved right. From late night Taco Bell runs, to working out on the weekends, by the time the summer was over I knew Matt had become more than a friend. He was someone I could now call a brother. Even though we lived in different cities Matt always had my back through all the ups and downs that came with college and life after. It’s been a privilege to know Matt and Mikey throughout the duration of their relationship and it brings me great joy and honor to be with them on their big day.

Baler Boy

Goodest Boy

Baler has been Micaela's goodest boy for the last 4 years. He loves food, belly rubs, and barking at nothing. He hates the pool, random noises, and vegetables. While Baler will not be attending his mom and new dad's wedding, he will be enjoying the peace and quiet with his best friend Tucker until they get home.
