Micaela and Matt's love story is a special one. They met at SFA where Micaela was studying vocal performance and Matt was studying education. In the fall of 2019, both Matt and Micaela discovered that they were going to be counselors at the Pines catholic camp. Micaela, wanting to find other Pines people at SFA, searched the social platforms and found a group of people who were also planning on going to camp that summer! They planned a meet up and that's when she met Matt. From the moment she met him she knew that he was going to be important to her (She also thought he was the cutest man to walk the earth). Time passes and they share many dances at Banita creek hall and Micaela falls hard. (October 19th 2019 is the exact day that she admits she really likes this guy). Flash forward to 2022 Matt and Micaela both get a job on senior staff for camp! Matt is the fire village coordinator, Micaela is the water village coordinator (steam in the making). Their friendship blossoms into something amazing! Matt is there to support her through her tough days and reminds her how worthy she is. Micaela is there at every fire programming Matt puts on and picks on him daily (She thinks bullying is flirting). Soon the other senior staff member catch on to the fact that these two were falling for each other (again). Camp ends and Matt tells Micaela that he loves her. Micaela, being her stubborn self responds by laughing at him and saying "I don't believe you, prove it". And he spent the next few months doing just that. They start officially dating June 10th 2023 and the rest is history. Here they are planning their wedding and getting ready to walk with each other to Heaven.
