FAQs

The Wedding Website of Helena Cathey and Samuel Steele
Question

What's the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Mediterranean chic! Our wedding will take place outdoors on the beautiful island of Ibiza, so we encourage you to dress with the sun and setting in mind! Think effortless elegance with breathable fabrics. For women - flowy dresses of any length in bold colors or fun prints, paired with open-toed sandals or wedges. Feel free to go glam with jewelry, hats, and accessories! Please avoid dark colors like black and navy blue. For men - light suits or linen trousers with a button-up shirt - fun colors and prints encouraged! Jackets optional. Please avoid dark colors like black and navy blue.

Question

What's the dress code for the welcome cruise?

Answer

Breezy, beachy, and elevated! For women: Flowy sundresses, matching sets, dressy rompers, or elevated coverups. If you plan to take a dip, feel free to wear a stylish swimsuit underneath. Flat sandals or wedges only—no stilettos on the boat, please! Bring a light layer for the breeze. For men: Linen or cotton shirts paired with swim trunks, chinos, or tailored shorts. Finish the 'fit with boat shoes or stylish sandals. No suits or dress shoes needed—this is a relaxed evening on the water, and we want everyone to be comfy!

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

It's up to you! Our ceremony venue, Hacienda Na Xamena, is located 35 minutes from Ibiza Airport (IBZ). Taxis are available near the airport, but taxi service is unreliable in the North of the island. Transportation will be provided to and from the hotels listed on our website to the planned wedding events, but you may want your own vehicle for flexibility to explore the island during downtime.

Question

Is there a registry for the wedding?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! We are not expecting gifts given the time and effort it takes to travel to Ibiza. If you would still like to celebrate with a gift, we’ve created a small registry with a few things we’ll use and love — but please know that your being there with us is more than enough.

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

With love and respect, we kindly ask that our wedding celebration be limited to adult guests only
