Question

Is there a hotel block for guests?

Answer

We did not reserved a block of rooms at any hotel. Due to the significant supply of lodging in Austin, we have been advised that it is actually more cost effective for guests to book on their own- you are likely to get a lower rate when compared to the cost with room block pricing. Please refer to our 'Travel & Lodging' page for hotel locations and recommendations.

Do we have to use a hotel reccomended on the Lodging page?

Answer

No! We focused on downtown hotels close to the events and some with unique character, but if you find one that works better for you, don’t hesitate to book it! Our wedding weekend coincides with UT graduation, so downtown hotels may fill up. That said, Austin isn’t a huge city—most hotels, even outside downtown, are just a quick Uber or taxi ride away. We chatted with several hotel managers who told us they don't expect to come close to capacity. I-35 traffic can be unpredictable, so give yourself plenty of time if you decide to stay outside of downtown and you’re headed to an event or catching the shuttle. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

What’s the best way to get to the wedding venue?

Answer

We will provide transportation shuttles from the Austin Marriott Downtown to bring you to the venue and back at the end of the evening. We are still working with our transportation company to confirm an efficient pick up location and will update here ASAP. The shuttles will pick up from the hotel at TIME TBD. Towards the end of the evening, one shuttle will leave the venue to return to the hotel at TIME TBD and another will leave at TIME TBD. You are more than welcome to utilize a taxi service/Uber/Lyft or drive yourself. The venue has confirmed Uber and Lyft are easily available at the end of the night as well. If you plan to drive yourself, there is plenty of parking on site however please ensure your vehicle is not left overnight. The venue cannot guarantee the gate will be open the next morning to retrieve your car.

What’s the best way to get from the wedding venue to the after party or back to my hotel?

Answer

There will be a transportation shuttle that departs from the wedding venue at TIME TBD that will make a stop at the Austin Marriott Downtown then continue on to drop off remaining guests at The Eleanor for the after party. As always, you are welcome to Uber/Lyft.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding has a cocktail attire dress code. Please be sure to check the weather and dress appropriately for the day. For reference, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors on the lawn and on pavers/gravel, respectively. Dinner and the reception will be indoors. May in Texas can be unpredictable and options to include if it is exceptionally hot and a plan B if needed. Feel free to wear something comfortable but chic for an evening of dancing and celebration!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at TIME TBD, so please aim to arrive at least 30 minutes early to find parking, grab a drink, and settle in.

Can I take photos at the wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We hired an incredible team of photographers and videographers to capture every moment and we'll share those with you afterwards! However, feel free to snap away once the ceremony is finished! We would love to see the pictures captured from our guests point of view.

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking available at the venue. Please plan accordingly to ensure your vehicle is not left overnight. The venue cannot guarantee the gate will be open the next morning to retrieve your car.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We are only accommodating the guests listed on your invitation. If your invitation includes a plus one, you’ll see their name or “+ Guest” listed. If you're unsure, please reach out to us directly, and we'll be happy to clarify.

While we love your little ones, we’ve decided to have an adults-only celebration. We hope this will give everyone the chance to relax and have a great time!

Yes, we’ve worked with the catering team to provide a variety of options for all dietary preferences. If you have any specific dietary restrictions or allergies, please make sure to note that on your RSVP so we can accommodate you.

Can I bring my pet to the wedding?

We do love animals but we kindly ask that you leave your furry friends at home for the wedding. We want to ensure a comfortable experience for all.
