The Wedding Website of Helen Brown and Matt Neckes
Our wedding is on beautiful Bainbridge Island, WA! Bainbridge Island is a 35 minute ferry ride directly West of Downtown Seattle. It is one of the largest Puget Sound Islands, with lots of beautiful trails for walking and biking.

Flight

Step 1: Sea Tac Airport

SeaTac is the closest airport. Once you are there, make your way to downtown Seattle to catch the ferry to Bainbridge Island. Options to get to the ferry are Lyft/Uber, or feel free to rent a car. There will be a shuttle for guests without a car to take you from the ferry station to IslandWood.

Travel Note

Step 2: Bainbridge Island Ferry!

Step 2 in your journey is to board the ferry to Bainbridge Island! You'll get sweeping views of the Puget Sound, the Seattle skyline, and Mt. Rainier. It's a treat! The ferry station is in Downtown Seattle on the waterfront. For getting there, plug in "Seattle Ferry Terminal" to whatever navigation app you use. The terminal is on Alaskan Way. If you are walking on to the ferry, follow signs for "Bainbridge Island Walk-Ons" to head inside the terminal to buy your ticket. If you are driving on to the ferry, follow signs for "Bainbridge Island," and there are drive through kiosks to purchase your ferry ticket for your car. The folks at the kiosk will tell you to enter a lane number. After you are in your lane, you may park your car and wait for the ferry to load. Please check ferry times to make sure you are aligning with the shuttle to take you to IslandWood. You can see the ferry schedule if you click "View" below. You do not need a reservation for the ferry, but if you are driving on, we recommend you show up for your ferry time at least 1 hour early to play it safe, lines can get crazy on weekends! If you are not driving onto the ferry, we recommend you arrive 30 minutes before the ferry leaves. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Helen and Matt with ANY questions about ferry logistics!

Shuttle

Step 3: Shuttle from Ferry to Islandwood

June 30, 2023 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

If you are walking onto the ferry, we are providing a shuttle to take you to IslandWood from the Bainbridge ferry. To meet the shuttle, please walk off the ferry and walk to a coffee stand called "Commuter Comforts." The shuttle will be right by there in that parking lot. It's a less than 1 minute walk. If you are arriving later in the evening, you are responsible for your own transportation (cab service listed in the "Getting Around The Island" section on this page). A shuttle will be provided on Sunday morning as well to get back to the ferry and will run from 8am to 12 noon.
