There are four lodges on the property with 12-16 rooms each. Each room has its own bathroom with shower. Examples of configurations: - Two sets of bunk beds with a Double Bed on the bottom - Two sets of twin bunk beds with a Queen Murphy bed The lodges are beautiful and cozy! Linens and shower products are provided but items such as hair dryers and other toiletries you should bring on your own. If staying at IslandWood isn't for you, not to worry! There are plenty of other options for places to stay on the island. Head to the "Travel, Venue, and Accommodations" page for that information.
You will receive an email with all the information you need to book and pay for a room at IslandWood. If you have any questions, please reach out to Helen and Matt.
Great question! Our parents made us promise that their friends and families will each get their own room. So, for the Millennial invitees, you'll be bunking up together in the Ichthyology Lodge! Helen and Matt will take care of all room assignments.
Guests can check in starting at 4 pm on Friday. Guests need to check out by 11 am on Sunday.
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your weekend away! For this reason, we ask that the kiddos stay at home.
We want this weekend to be spent with our closest family and friends. If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes, otherwise, please only bring the people who are addressed on your invitation.
While we REALLY hope that Covid will not be consuming our lives by our wedding date, vaccinations are required to attend the weekend.
Honestly, we just want you to feel comfortable and fabulous at the end of the day. But, for those of you who like some nice guidelines: Dresses, your best power jumpsuit, light-colored suits, tie-optional, are all great choices.
Short answer, YES. Matt is the king of dietary restrictions, and understands the anxiety that comes along with sharing them as a guest. IslandWood is extremely good at accommodating all dietary needs without taking away from the deliciousness of their food. Also, please share on the RSVP what you need in order to have a yummy weekend.
We don't want things, we're lucky to have what we need. We do however want to have a killer European Honeymoon! If you would like to help us explore the Swiss Alps or eat our weight in pasta as we romp through Italy, please head to the Registry page to contribute.
