We met in 2006 as a "Bridger" and a "Clubber" (or 16 year olds) while at Lanakila and Aloha Camps, respectively. As Helen always says, "It's not as cute as it sounds!" While we knew of each other, we did not date or even know each other very well. Fast forward to 2018, we re-met while working at Hulbert Winter Family Camp. On the first day, we were sent 45 minutes away to buy hundreds of dollars worth of fireworks for the New Year's fireworks display. We spent that time catching up on the last 12 years of our lives, but at the time there was no interest past friendship on either side. Then after a week of running various programming together, on New Year's Eve, sparks began to fly. Helen didn't think much was going to come of anything until Trey intentionally made sure to stop by her house to say goodbye on his way back to Boston. Then a year of long-distance, Helen's move to Boston and a new job, a pandemic, a new apartment together, a broken ankle, a new job for Trey, a LOT of friends' weddings and trips to Vermont, some amazing travels abroad, a ring, and a plan to spend a lifetime together.
