We will be getting legally married in the United States prior to our destination celebration. While the legal ceremony will be private, our hearts are set on celebrating this special milestone surrounded by those who mean the most to us. It all started in December 2021, when Lauren and Matt matched on a dating app. The conversation was light, and while they exchanged numbers and sent a few quick texts, nothing much came of their initial chats. Lauren, not quite ready to let go of the connection, saved Matt’s number as “Matthew Hinge". Fast forward to March 2022. It was late in the month when Lauren logged back on to the app and saw the familiar (and extremely handsome) face — Matthew. Without hesitation, Lauren reached out to "Matthew Hinge" and sent a message. Over the next few days, they quickly hit it off, texting and talking on the phone, feeling an undeniable connection that neither could ignore. Matt, never one to let a good opportunity slip by, insisted that Lauren cancel her plans and go on a date. On Friday, April 1st, 2022, they had their first date—and the rest, as they say, is history.
