We've reserved 5, 14 passenger vans to bring people to and from the wedding. The pickup times will be scheduled and must be adhered to in order to get everyone to the venue on time. Pickup Times: 3:25 PM: Comfort Suites (there will be three vans picking up from this location) 3:40 PM: Buckskin Trail 3:50 PM: Chicago Creek 3:55 PM: Heritage Park (all people staying in downtown Idaho Spring will be picked up here) Drop off: As much as we'd like the party to last all night, the party at the venue ends at 11:00. However, shuttles will be able to bring you back to your accommodations throughout the night if you would like to leave before then. If you DO drive to the venue and choose to take the shuttle home, you must pick up your vehicle at North Star Gatherings between 11:00 AM and Noon.
We have confirmed all of our vendors follow recommended COVID protocol and are taking additional precautions to keep guests safe. As you all know by now, things can change quickly with the pandemic so this information is subject to change; however, here are the precautions we plan to take on Saturday: -Our ceremony will be outside, weather permitting. The venue has wall-to-wall doors that we are able to open for more ventilation during the reception. -We have confirmed the majority of our guests have been vaccinated. -We will be doing temperature checks at the door and ask that you stay home if feeling ill or if you have had known exposure to the virus. -If you would feel more comfortable doing so, we welcome you to wear a mask when not eating or drinking. -We will have sanitizing stations set up throughout the venue. -Someone will follow up with guests the week after the wedding to inquire about COVID-19 symptoms.
North Star Gatherings is about 15 minutes from downtown Idaho Springs and 30-45 minutes from Denver. It is surrounded by protected Forrest Service land and some of the roads to it are a little twisty but nothing too scary. North Star Gatherings does have cell service but no wifi. The venue sits at 8,941 feet of elevation so please, please remember to drink lots of water...we would hate for any of you to have altitude sickness while trying to party!

If we've had a chance to interact with your kids, you know we adore them. Our friends and family really like to make babies so it would have been impossible for us to invite everyone + their children with the guest limit at our venue. If your children are invited, they will be listed when you RSVP.
Our wedding is strictly RSVP. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If a guest is included when you RSVP, you may bring a date.

Yes! When you RSVP, you will be asked if you are using the shuttle service and if so, where you are staying. We will have passenger vans to transport people safely to and from the venue. Once we have a better idea of where everyone will be lodged, we will let you know where drop off and pick up locations are.
Yes- they encourage you to plan ahead and use the shuttle service to and from the venue if you know you will be drinking. You may leave your vehicle parked at North Star Gatherings overnight if needed as long as it is picked up the next morning.
There will be a cocktail hour on the side deck of the venue with drinks and passed hors d'oeuvres while the bridal party takes pictures. Then, everyone will be seated inside the main hall for the reception dinner with dancing/celebrating to follow.
