We were celebrating a mutual friend's birthday when we just so happened to be playing a game against each other. We hit it off immediately until he told me he was a Cardinals fan, which almost steered me away, (Go Cubbies)! We exchanged contact info that night and then the rest was history!
Nick picked me up from my dorm room and we went to the best local BBQ restaurant in Richmond, KY named 'Straight From Texas'. Of course he had to choose a very messy food for our first date. We then made our way to Malibu Jack's where he very quickly realized I am a big competitor and hate to lose. After hours of battling back and forth on arcade games and putt-putt, we picked up some ice cream on the way home and talked forever getting to know more about each other. At this point, it was now after midnight and he got the nerve to ask me to be his girlfriend. By the time we tie the knot, we will have been dating for 5 years!
During spring break, Nick was adamant we go to Gatlinburg. He told me he had a photoshoot planned (which was not out of the ordinary for us). The day before the planned photoshoot, he took me up to Anakeesta and at one of the prettiest overlooks, he got down on one knee and I said "YES!" We then went back to the cabin, where all of our friends and family were there for a surprise engagement party to celebrate! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you!
