Obiel and Heidi first met on the dusty mats of their climbing gym and instantly gravitated towards each other. Climbing continued to be the activity they bonded over as they traveled and camped throughout the Covid lockdowns. There was something precious to them about being dusty in the great outdoors, cooking dinners over fires, and camping under the stars. Heidi fell in love with Obiel's perfect blend of stability and adventurousness; Obiel fell in love with Heidi's communication skills and love for others. In September of 2022, Obiel proposed to Heidi on a backpacking trip in Idyllwild, they eloped two months after and spent the first week after their elopement here in Bishop. They now invite you to celebrate with them in one of their favorite climbing destinations as they renew their vows and party with their favorite people!
