Our story began over 12 years ago at the Home Depot. Be it friend or foe for you, that's where it all began for us. Michael was an employee first, then I came along and caught his eye after joining The Home Depot team. He said I was the prettiest girl at The Home Depot (his words). Our mutual friend and coworker told me he was interested in me. I was soon interested in him as well. Months later after working there and passing by in the aisles exchanging smiles, and flirtations, and banter in the break room and such,.. Michael asked me out on our first date. I said, yes.

Our first date was at the Texas Rice Festival in Winnie, Tx where he stole a kiss! We had a great time together laughing, walking, and talking, eating fair food and playing silly games. It was all history from there...a lot of history!

12 years later I said YES again when he proposed on my birthday, June 9, 2018. Michael surprised me with a trip to Galveston, Tx. We had good laughs, and made many great memories like finding new eats on the seawall, walking the strand, and petting the sting rays at the aquarium and more. He proposed to me later that night when we returned home, as he had said he had another "surprise" for me. It turned out that it was my engagement ring! He got down on one knee, opened the box, and said,.... "So whatta ya say"? I said YES! He put the ring on my finger and I was so happy I began to cry. Interestingly enough Michaels parents met at their place of work as well, at Sears. I always thought that was neat how we had that in common with them and that it was meant to be for us. We look forward to being with each other as long as his parents and mine have been together if not longer. We are very much in love, and can't wait to be married. God knows us best, and has kept us together after all this time, and we are so thankful for that. Please pray for our marriage as we will experience both the good and the bad throughout our journey together until death do us part.
